Robyn Raines
OWNER
Robyn became the owner of Whitetop Yoga in 2017--believing both in the practice and community it creates. First introduced to yoga almost twenty years ago, she uses her practice to work toward better life balance and is amazed by its ability to create space and time.
A southwest Virginia native, Robyn moved back to the region after completing her BFA in textile design from Moore College of Art & Design (Philadelphia); working for Betsey Johnson, New York fashion designer; and completing the Core Fellow Program at the Penland School of Crafts (NC). In 2017, she completed her Master's Degree in Natural Resources from Virginia Tech's Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability.
As the owner of Whitetop Yoga, she is excited to support gratitude, mindfulness, and intention with the local community and visitors to the region.
She loves balancing her space and time between her yoga and art studios and farming.

Kelly Hill Blevins
RYT 200
Kelly Hill Blevins is a yoga lover, wild at heart and sun seeking adventurer. She loves to empower her students by fostering the idea that their time on the mat is an adventure for you, by you.
Her love for adventure and discovery started when she was a kid. Once she realized her dreams of becoming the next Indiana Jones required a college education she joined the United States Air Force. This is where she learned the true value of service; service to self, her country and community. It was during her enlistment that she conducted her first physical training session as a physical training leader. This is how she became hooked on instructing. It led her to pursue a BS in Exercise Science and become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
After she had her son Wyatt, her sense of service become solely focused on family. She had forgotten all about service to herself until yoga came into her life. It was the time she spent on her mat that allowed her to reconnect to her true inner light, that wild Indiana Jones loving adventurer. Through this new found joy, she was able to honestly communicate to herself and others.
She sought her yoga teacher training through the Hawaii Yoga Institute and whether it is ten minutes of meditation or an hour of movement, her goal is to give back to her community. She loves to create a safe environment for students of all levels to open their hearts to the idea that self care is NOT selfish.

Breece Bryan
RYT 200
Breece was first introduced to yoga in her youth, where she found herself at a local YMCA class. Since then, she continued to seek out and explore different classes and studios where she could. Her love for yoga deepened in 2012 when she moved to Asheville, NC and made a commitment to her mat. Yoga quickly became a passion and her calling to teach became clearer.
Breece completed her 200-hour Teacher Training with Vira Bhava Yoga at Whitetop studio in 2018, while pregnant with her daughter, Magnolia.
When she is not on her mat, Breece is a work-from-home Mom and runs a business as a Jewelry Designer, traveling the South East to showcase her work as an Artist. Breece is also an outdoor enthusiast who loves nature, and finds inspiration exploring the Appalachian Mountains with her husband, Ben.
As a teacher, Breece loves to incorporate music with movement in a flow that taps into all types of yoga. Her classes encourage a “go with the flow” mentality with the intent to surface the positive energies of each one of her students.

Maggie Fuller
RYT 200, e-RYT 200, Reiki Master
Maggie Fuller is yoga teacher, reiki master, massage therapist, and an avid student of life. After years of searching for something -something for herself- Maggie finally committed to her yogic path at the beginning of 2015. Later that same year, she completed her 230 hour teacher training through InnerSea and Bristol Yoga; it completely transformed her from the inside out. In the Winter of 2017, Maggie earned her e-RYT 200 certification.
Maggie's personal yoga journey opened her eyes to all yoga really offers: allowing her to keep discovering her true, authentic self, as well as building the foundation from which she has learned to love and accept herself. This deeper connection and newly found love is what brought about her desire to teach and share her practice.
As she and her journey continue to blossom, Maggie realizes yoga isn't just about what you do on your mat… It's more about taking the tools of yoga OFF the mat, into everyday life: learning to take your time, breathe, stay present, and cultivate a mindful awareness in all that you do. The literal definition of the word yoga is "to yoke, to join, to connect." Yoga builds the connect to the body, breath, mind, and ultimately the connection we have to ourselves and others.
As a trauma-trained yoga teacher, Maggie's ultimate hope is to create a compassionate, supportive space for others to know the comfort of self-love, and to help others find themselves, their own unique path, and recognize their natural, radiant light. Her goal is to see students go from human beings doing yoga, to humans BEING yoga. As stated in the Bhagavad Gita, "yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."
Maggie firmly believes that yoga is for everyBODY, and provides variations and modifications, to assist students in their own individual practice.

Laura Grantham
RYT 500
I have been practicing yoga since 2010. Early on, I enjoyed yoga as a nice class that helped with flexibility and introduced me to the awesomeness of savasana. Then, one of my first teachers let me in on a secret: there is more (much more!) to yoga than just asana practice. Since then, especially with the opening of Whitetop Yoga in 2014, and becoming 200 hour RYT certified in 2017, yoga has shown me a way to discover and celebrate the best me I can possibly be.
When not on the mat, I enjoy riding and messing around with my horses, fly fishing, hunting, gardening, hiking, and just being outdoors. I also enjoy art in many mediums, reading and cooking, especially with ingredients I or my husband Jerry have harvested, plant and animal.
My wish in teaching is to help others explore and discover the best in themselves, and how to gracefully let go of the stuff that does not help you in any way. Whether you are just looking for an asana class that makes you feel good, or wondering about what else yoga can do for you, join me! I’m still learning and exploring myself (I’m starting the RYT 300 hour training in 2018!!), and I welcome you along on the journey.

Jacqui Pile
RYT 500
Jacqui has been passionate about the Wellness Industry for over 20 years, certified through American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Personal Trainer, Health Coach and Medical Exercise Specialist, she works with a wide variety of clientele in various settings. She also has enjoyed participating in triathlons as well as helping students prepare for one. She took her first yoga class over 15 years ago and quickly discovered that yoga was the "missing piece" not only in her career, but more importantly, in her life. She began teaching at the Coomes Recreation Center and her hunger grew for not just the physical piece that yoga has to offer, but the teachings and lifestyle as well. She then completed the 500 Hr Teacher Training through Vira Bhava Yoga, at Whitetop Yoga studio. As a "forever student", she is currently enrolled in the 300 Hr Ayurvedic Wellness Coach Training under Katie Silcox. When not on the mat, Jacqui enjoys time with family, kayaking, playing fiddle and early mornings with a good book.
She gladly welcomes all levels of experience and her classes focus on meditative, gentle movement that weave together the body, mind and spirit...allowing each participant to be present with their own individual experience.

Heather Dotterweich
RYT 500
My name is Heather Dotterweich and I’m originally from Derry in northern Ireland. I spent my 20’s in Edinburgh, Scotland where I met my husband who is from Knoxville, TN. In 1999, we married and I emigrated to the United States, and became a citizen in 2007.
My yoga journey began in Bristol, TN in 2005, in the Bristol Ballet studio above Blackbird Bakery, when my son was one and my daughter about three and a half. My first yoga class left me in a state of wonder and curiosity! My body was being asked to move in a way it never had before, and there were beautiful ancient foreign names for these places and positions I tried to arrive. The concept of non-attachment took a while to adopt!
My practice evolved over the next seven years with varying teachers and locations, until I responded to an inner nudge, and entered a 230hr Yoga Teacher Training, with Lydie Ometto at InnerSea Yoga in Johnson City TN. This invaluable and life transforming experience launched an eclectic teaching path. I’ve taught all populations in a wide variety of locations and contexts. My main focus for a lot of that time was kids’ yoga, as well as teaching beginner yoga and yoga for senior populations.
I have taught consistently at Bristol Yoga since it opened in 2013, and at the Slater Community for the last six years. For the past seven years, I have facilitated an evolving Meditation Group at Bristol Yoga.
In April 2019, I attended BHAKTImmersion, at The Wild Lotus Yoga Studio in New Orleans, where I quickly embraced this heart-centered approach to yoga practice, with the art of singing, storytelling, poetry, and dance as part of practice. I learned to play the Indian harmonium, and now include it in many of my classes.
In 2021, I completed an additional 300hrs study at the Asheville Yoga Center.
In the last few years my attention has turned towards my own ancestral roots, and I have found Celtic Spirituality to be a natural friend to yoga practice. This journey is for me a Spiritual one, and it keeps evolving with new and ancient strands blending together, it is exciting and life enhancing. I have had many teachers who have generously shared their knowledge and example, who have had an enormous impact on my life. This list is by no way exhaustive: Suzanne Burick-Burleson, Dolores Champagne, Lydie Ometto, Lauren Davis, Libby Hensley, Kimberley Puryear, Sara LaStella, Michael Johnson, and Seán Johnson.
I really look forward to getting to know you and sharing with you in class as we awaken together.
